💡 Our Story & Philosophy
Founded in 2014 by Registered Nurse Charmaine Brown-Barnett, who continues to serve as Proprietor and Director, KinderAcademy for Young Scholars was established with a vision of providing children with a safe, nurturing environment where high-quality care and education go hand in hand. In 2018, KinderAcademy proudly became the first Early Childhood Commission-certified daycare in the parish of St. Ann, a milestone that reflects our commitment to excellence, quality, and the well-being of every child.
Our school is a vibrant, nurturing community where learning, creativity, cultural exploration, and joyful discovery come together. We believe children learn best when they feel safe, valued, supported, and actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences.
Over the years, many families have expressed a desire to continue their children's educational journey with KinderAcademy beyond the preschool years. In response, we are expanding our educational offerings to include a Primary School, allowing children to continue learning and growing in the supportive environment they know and trust.
Our inclusive model ensures that children of all abilities are welcomed, respected, and encouraged to reach their full potential at their own pace and in their own way.
KinderAcademy prioritizes quality, consistency, and long-term sustainability. Stable enrollment allows us to retain qualified educators, maintain safe facilities, and deliver the high standard of care and education our families have trusted since 2014.

At KinderAcademy for Young Scholars, the safety and well-being of every child is our highest priority. We are committed to providing a secure, nurturing environment where children can learn, explore, and grow with confidence.
Our team is trained in First Aid and CPR, ensuring staff are prepared to respond promptly and appropriately in the event of an emergency. To enhance the security of our school, our facility is equipped with CCTV surveillance, a controlled gate entry buzzer system, and secure access procedures that help safeguard everyone on the premises.
We maintain high standards of cleanliness, health, and supervision throughout the school day. As part of our commitment to student health, KinderAcademy is a nut-free school, and we do not permit peanuts or tree nuts on campus. This policy helps reduce the risk of severe allergic reactions and provides a safer environment for children with food allergies. Regular safety checks, emergency drills, and clear procedures further help ensure that children remain safe while learning and playing.
